Michigan Ave. Corridor Improvement Authority (MACIA)

  The Michigan Ave. Corridor Improvement Authority (MACIA) was established to oversee the strategic economic development of the Michigan Avenue Corridor. The Michigan Ave. corridor is a commercial corridor that runs along E. Michigan Ave. from S. Larch St. to the city’s limit to the east. The MACIA’s sole purpose is to generate economic development and revitalization along the commercial corridor to improve the overall community.

 · The Michigan Avenue Corridor Improvement Authority is currently developing a website to connect the area’s residents and visitors to the corridor.

· The Michigan Avenue Corridor Improvement Authority recently developed a Facebook business page. 

· The Michigan Avenue Corridor Improvement Authority supported the creation of the Red Cedar Social District by providing marketing materials. 

· The Michigan Avenue Corridor Improvement Authority created a facade improvement initiative for the 2000 block of Michigan Avenue.

·  A Commercial Corridor is a major street/ passageway lined primarily with businesses and commercial activity that serves the surrounding community.
